‘ll be honest. I tried writing today’s Wednesday Wicket… and it just didn’t work.
My head pounded even more after my first attempt (I have a migraine). And I learned, creating something new doesn’t work when your head hurts.
So I’m trying again, after having rested. Today’s message is going to be short and sweet, written from the heart – not my head.
Consistency is important.
Showing up consistently creates trust, builds momentum, and enables progress.
But I can fall into the trap, thinking that consistency means I had to show up in the same way, every single time. The same energy. The same format. Being consistent about my delivery.
And when I don’t… I feel like I’ve failed.
But what I have to remind myself is… showing up consistently is just that. Showing up. Showing up as you are, in the way you are, at that point in time.
"Do what you can, with what you have, where you are."
Today I’m showing up for you. And having let go of the rest of my own expectations, beyond doing the best I can right now… I know this is not a failure.
I hope that this reminder to myself acts as a reminder to you too.
You don’t have to be the best ever, every time.
You just need to be the best with what you have, in that moment.
“Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.”
– Theodore Roosevelt
26th President of the United States of America
