As we close out on 2024… It’s important to reflect so you can celebrate every part of your journey. And that includes both the highs and the lows.
I’ve been writing this newsletter for 4 years now. But I’m embarrassed to admit…
I used to cringe at sharing my journey and achievements.
Success isn’t linear.
At 15, baby sitter. (My first leadership role!)
At 17, swim instructor. (Sharing the swim love)
At 21, a bartender. (College Irish Pub )
And it can be hard to share the highs & lows.
“Life’s challenges are not supposed to paralyze you, they’re supposed to help you discover who you are.”
Now, I help diverse professionals to be recognized as valuable authentic leaders.
By mastering leadership & innovation strategies.
2005-2006:
– 1st role Package Engineering, out of comfort zone.
– Launched innovative product of the year.
– Learned… I did not love packaging.
2006-2010:
– Pivoted to consumer research at Procter & Gamble.
– Drove innovative growth in R&D for big brands.
– Married, resigned, moved.
2010-2018:
– Joined Pfizer and built new R&D functional capability.
– Stalled in career advancement.
– Created innovation space, 60+ teams used 1st yr.
– Promoted and strategic visibility grew.
2018-2020
– Risked a jump from R&D to a commercial role.
– Launch of CBD product in Walgreens in 9 months.
– Job was eliminated.
2020-2024:
– Built a thriving coaching business from scratch.
– Spoken to audiences of 2,000 ppl.
– Coached clients from Deloitte, Toyota, McDonalds, etc.
Importantly, I’m doing what I love enabling flexibility for the people I love (my husband + 3 kids).
Now that wouldn’t have happened without:
– Turning change & adversity into opportunity.
– An INCREDIBLE community.
– Putting in the reps day in and day out…
– Support & love from my friends & family.
The highs are moments we strive for! The goals achieved, moments of joy shared with others, experiences that take our breath away.
When you think you can’t, YOU CAN!
Cheers to 2024
