When people ask me how I “do it all”…
The truth is, I don’t.
Yes…
I own my own business
I support my wonderful husband
I have 3 active kids (14yrs & younger)
I lead mission & outreach at my church
But…
Balance doesn’t mean each day is perfectly split.
It means looking at the bigger picture.
Some weeks are fully dedicated to work.
Travel. Conferences. Workshops.
Leadership that requires all my focus.
Other times, family comes first.
The start of school. Celebrations. Vacations.
Health challenges that require my full presence.
“You can have it all. Just not all at once.”
Here’s what I’ve learned:
When one area takes the spotlight,
I ask for help with the other.
→ Help at work while I’m away.
→ Help with family when I’m away.
Because leaders never lead alone.
The neuroscience backs this up:
Our brain (and body) can only recharge when we’re not carrying it all.
Delegation and support aren’t weakness,
They’re multipliers.
So if you feel like you have to choose one…
Remember: You don’t.
Balance isn’t about doing everything at once.
It’s about honoring what matters most in the moment, and trusting the long game.
