I didn’t realize I was hiding.

February 18, 2026

I didn't realize I was hiding.

I thought I was being humble. Turns out… I was hiding.

Humility is powerful.

It keeps us open.

Always learning.

Curious.

But there’s a trap if you’re not careful. We can confuse humility with silence.

In an effort not be boastful… you don’t talk about your big dreams.

You stay quiet about your achievements – because they should speak for themselves, right? Talking about yourself feels self-centred, boastful.

But your drive and accomplishments aren’t arrogance. They’re part of you. And when you deny them, you deny yourself.

“Humility is not thinking less of yourself, it’s thinking of yourself less.”

Authentic leadership means embracing all of who you are.

And that’s true humility. How?

When you own your ambition, you also permit others to own theirs. And together, with different flavours of leadership, we can create the biggest impact.

The focus isn’t on You. It’s on the difference you make for others.

So the real question is:

Are you shrinking to seem humble?

Or are you ready to redefine it?

“Humility is not thinking less of yourself, it’s thinking of yourself less.”
