One thing I taught the associates during a keynote I gave atย Marsย (yummm…. chocolate!)ย was how to say No, to prevent burnout.

Every yes splits your energy. Clarity loves constraints.

When you say no to misaligned asks, you make room for the right ones.

4. No models healthy limits for others
People are watching how you lead. Let them see boundaries in action.
5. No prevents resentment
Overcommitment leads to underperformanceโand burnout.
6. No builds trust
When people know you wonโt say yes to everything, your yes carries more weight.
7. No is an act of self-leadership
You canโt lead others well if youโre stretched too thin yourself.
You donโt need to be everything to everyone.
