You were told never to…

You were told never to...

Expertise doesn’t just help you to follow the rules. It helps you break them.

The magical thing about innovation is doing things differently to achieve a better outcome. And that means breaking “rules”.

I’m not talking about ethical, legal or safety rules.

It’s the rules people think “should” be followed. Because that’s how things have always been done. But you can’t make things better by making them the same.

I used to think doing things differently was the key. So, I:

→ Would start from scratch.

→ Did different, just to be different.

→ Focused on unique, shocking, and new.

But here’s the truth about successful innovation:

𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻’𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀.

“Learn the rules like a pro, so you can break them like an artist.”

Innovation isn’t about rebellion for the sake of it.

It’s about 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘳𝘶𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 — rooted in deep knowledge.

Once I understood the rules — who wrote them, who benefits, and how they work  — I became strategic about when and how to break them.

From being naive → to building influence.

From being reactive → to being intentional.

From being dismissed → to being a respected change agent.

Now? I help my clients to:

→ bring new ideas forward with confidence 𝘢𝘯𝘥 credibility.

→ disrupt with purpose, not just passion.

→ lead change without losing yourself in the process.

The irony?

𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁. 𝗜𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗱.
